About that time I had a field job during the week about four hours from the office and about five hours from home, the Interstate route didn’t have a lot of radio stations, so I installed a CB in my Datsun Pickup and talked to whoever was on the road. Met some interesting people, had some interesting conversations, and even stopped for coffee with a few.

This song is about trucking
I remember seeing a line of 15 plus trucks on I 75 in the 70s while riding in the back of a pickup truck and making the horn pull jester for the truckers to blow their horns…awesome! I think a lot of them were Fathers too.. it was awesome to make a line of trucks blow their horns all the way down a dozen or so trucks down the interstate in the back of a pickup truck 😆

I got formed up as part of a convoy heading out of California one night heading east on I-10. My Freightliner would only do about 85mph but the speed limit on trucks was 55mph so I kept up fairly well. Don't know how many rigs were involved, must have been about 200+. A lot of 4 wheelers must have figured out what was up and they joined in with the run and the troopers sat on the ramps and cross overs and watched but didn't try to stop us. This song was playing on a lot of radios that night.
